“FREE” Comedy Writing & Performance Workshops

Have YOU always dreamed of being a comedian?

Do YOU love dreaming up comedy sketches, bits of standup, sitcom ideas, a funny play or song?

Well, here’s your chance, right here in North Devon!

No experience necessary!

The Make Your Mark Panel are offering a unique opportunity to learn from Ed Gaughan.

Ed grew up in Barnstaple, he’s a critically acclaimed, award-winning actor, writer, comedian, director, musician and composer working across stage, screen and audio.

Ed also has many years of experience running workshops teaching people about comedy writing and performance. Having grown up here in North Devon, he’s looking forward to bringing his comedy knowledge home to his roots.

Spaces available for up to 6 participants, all ages welcome from 18 – 100.

We want to receive applications from a wide range of people, including people with no performance or writing experience.

All activities will take place at The Queen’s Theatre, Barnstaple.

Please note you need to be resident in North Devon.

As we have only 6 spaces available, we’ve designed a simple application process. Please click HERE to find out more.

If you’re selected, you’ll need to be available for the following dates:

• Weekend Workshop: Saturday October 11th & 12th 10am – 5pm both days

• Weekend Rehearsal: Sunday November 9th daytime, times to be confirmed

• Evening Performance: Monday November 10th times to be confirmed

Please confirm that you’re available on all the dates in your application.

Application Decision: By 5pm on Monday September 29th.
