Hello! We want to make the application process as easy as possible.

The Make Your Mark Panel are happy to receive applications either as a completed form or as a short video (maximum 2 minutes long). We would like you to provide us with a few basic details and answer two questions about why you’re applying. The Panel want to hear from you; they want to you to tell them what this opportunity would mean to you. Please note you need to be resident in North Devon.

  • Weekend Workshop: Saturday October 11th & 12th 10am – 5pm both days
  • Weekend Rehearsal: Sunday November 9th daytime, times to be confirmed
  • Evening Performance: Monday November 10th times to be confirmed

On Monday November 10th, workshop participants will have an opportunity (if they wish to) to present their work to a small invitation ONLY audience, including friends and family.  The performance will be in a private space at The Queen’s Theatre, Barnstaple with Ed Gaughan present to host and support participants. 

The details you provide us with will be held securely by Landmark Theatres.

CRITERIA

Ed Gaughan and our Make Your Mark Panel will look at your application, their selection criteria will be simple. They want to hear about your interests, your ambitions and why you’d like this opportunity to learn about comedy writing and performance. Remember no prior experience is needed!

VIDEOS (Maximum 2 Minutes Long)

You can record a video on your mobile phone, there’s no need to spend time on lots of editing, the panel just want an opportunity to hear from you either in writing or by watching a short video.

In your video please also answer the questions in the Application Form here.

If you’re sending a video, share it with Fiona via platforms like WeTransfer or upload them to your own online accounts such as YouTube or Vimeo. If you use accounts like YouTube or Vimeo, please password protect and send Fiona an email with both the link and password.

Once you’ve sent your application Fiona will share it with Ed Gaughan and the Make Your Mark Panel who will be involved in the selection process.

Application Decision: By 5pm on Monday September 29th.
